How DARE They?

DARE-ing Interviews

How DARE They  – Over 40©!  – 12 DARE-ING questions for successful DARE-ing women over 40!

If you’re the least bit like me, you’re more than ready to gouge your eyes out rather than read about or watch another woman celebrity over-40 whose idea of what’s DARE-ING and fulfilling entails presiding over three-hour weekly meetings she demands with her bold-faced named decorators, facialists, private bidet-butlers, memoirists, ghost-writers and other assorted sycophants and toadies.  ENOUGH!

When it comes to real-life, Real Women Over-40 Behaving Grandly and doing real-women DARE-ING things that are fulfilling and rewarding, both monetarily and spiritually, trump the Bimbo-Boomers Breaking Bad any day.

To cheer these real women on, and DARE other visionary, intelligent and motivated women to discover and pursue their own feats of DARE-ING, we’re starting a new feature, spotlighting real women over 40 across the U.S. who are pursuing, developing and leading new and fulfilling ventures in their personal lives, careers, and communities.   Be assured, however: this is not going to be a preachy, “teach-y,” or screechy profile column, but rather an empowering breath of Fresh DARE.

We’ll look at what real DARE-ING Women Over 40 are accomplishing, all without a posse of stylists, nannies and other assistants who are paid to wake them from peaceful slumbers, prop them up and mop them up, depending on what time of day it is and what they’ve eaten or drunk as the case usually is, plus have their lattes waiting for them as they saunter around in $200 lace bras trying to decide which one of the hundreds of pairs of six-inch heels they should wear that day for the ride from their penthouse to their limos to their athlete-boyfriends’ beds.  Not to mention the legions of offspring of famous people now penning their own memoirs, how-to books, movies and other extracts while the said offspring talents amount to little more than a silver spoon’s worth of tiny poppy seeds.  So, if that’s your life, then come and bankroll mine.

If that’s not your life, read on. For a new column we’re calling How DARE They – Over 40!  we’re posing 12 questions based on the 12 principles and practices I outline in my book, Get DARE From Here!,  to visionary, intelligent and motivated real-life women – those without the swarms of sycophants and battalions of bidet-butlers.
